The Three Rivers College baseball team won for the seventh time in its last eight games as the Raiders swept a four-game series with Rock Valley (Illinois) College over the weekend at Roger Pattillo Field.

The Raiders won 5-4 and 12-7, respectively, on Saturday, then won 6-5 and 12-2 on Sunday to complete the series sweep.

The Raiders (8-3) overcame a 4-0 deficit to win Saturday's opener, scoring once in the fifth inning and twice each in the sixth and seventh innings to complete the comeback. Mason Krznarich and Cooper McClure both homered in the game.

Ty Thatcher tossed 1 2/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief for the win.

The Raiders scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning of Saturday's nightcap to snap a 4-4 tie and earn the twinbill sweep.

Eli Marvin had four hits and drove in three runs to lead the offense, while McClure drove in two runs.

Stuart Tharle started and tossed five innings for the win, striking out six and allowing six hits, four runs and three walks.

The Raiders trailed 5-3 going to the bottom of the seventh inning during Sunday's opener, but earned their second walkoff win in as many days with a three-run rally in the bottom of the inning. Three Rivers won despite managing just four hits.

Steven Henley tossed two innings in relief of starter Bryce Stenzel for the win. Stenzel struck out six in five innings on the hill, while Henley struck out five.

The Raiders scored in all but the first inning of Sunday's nightcap and enforced the 10-run rule with a four-run outburst in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Manny Alberto had four hits, while Krznarich added a pair. Jacob Baller drove in three runs, while Alberto and Brady Robertson each drove in two. Nicolas Hawkins also added a solo homer.

Dorian Lippens started and pitched all six innings to earn the win, allowing just three hits, two runs and two walks while striking out three.

Three Rivers is slated to play a doubleheader at Drury on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
